Tulane University Libraries / Exhibition Design, Writing, Proofreading

Tulane University holds the largest research library in the Gulf South and reaches at least 500,000 users annually. My design work for this institution has ranged from researching, designing, and writing for the virtual exhibition Books Through Their Pages, and designing promotional posters for in-person gallery exhibitions.

Book design for Overstory: A Field Guide to A Studio in the Woods

I was hired by Antenna to work with A Studio in the Woods in New Orleans, LA to distill information from several sources in order to create a field guide that would be sold and distributed to donors, artists-in-residence, and the greater public. The book includes botanical illustrations by Penny Baker and supplemental illustrations by myself, as well as essays and info-graphics depicting the environmental and social history of the site. This was a true collaboration between several scholars, artists, and community members and was a complete honor to oversee.

Loyola University Special Collections & Archives / Exhibition Design, Research, Writing, Proofreading

As a Project Assistant in the Special Collections & Archives at Loyola University New Orleans, I worked on several promotional projects that required research and design within the varied collections and appealed to the greater New Orleans community. The exhibition Janet Mary Riley: A Voice for Social Justice in Louisiana challenged me to translate a document-heavy archive into a visually-engaging gallery exhibition that honored her historic feminist and civil rights work in Louisiana.

Selection of posters designed for the archival exhibition: Janet Mary Riley: A Voice for Social Justice in Louisiana. The paper colors and typefaces were chosen to visually relate the archive, which held a mid-century office aesthetic.
